Here is the class outline:

1. Unit 0: Welcome to the Classroom

Jan 5

This week you will be introduced to the policies and procedures for this class, enroll in online class components, receive beginning of the school documents, and taking your pretest.

2. Unit 1: Relationships between Quantities and Reasoning with Equations and their Graphs

Jan 12

In this module students analyze and explain precisely the process of solving an equation. Through repeated reasoning, students develop fluency in writing, interpreting, and translating between various forms of linear equations and inequalities and make conjectures about the form that a linear equation might take in a solution to a problem. They reason abstractly and quantitatively by choosing and interpreting units in the context of creating equations in two variables to represent relationships between quantities. They master the solution of linear equations and apply related solution techniques and the properties of exponents to the creation and solution of simple exponential equations. They learn the terminology specific to polynomials and understand that polynomials form a system analogous to the integers.

3. Unit 1: (week two) Relationships between Quantities and Reasoning with Equations and their Graphs

Jan 21

Continuing our study of relationships between quantities and reasoning.

4. Unit 1: (week three) Relationships between Quantities and Reasoning with Equations and their Graphs

Jan 26

Continuing our study of quantities and reasoning... Combining like terms Distributive Property Linear, Exponential, Quadratic Equations and Graphs Graphing Story/Piecewise Functions Polynomials defined by terms (monomial, binomial, trinomial...) and degree (1, 2, 3...) Adding and Subtractive Polynomials Multiplying Polynomials

5. Unit 1: (week four) Relationships between Quantities and Reasoning with Equations and their Graphs

Feb 2

This week we are finishing up Module 1 with a focus on equations and inequalities.

6. Ending of Module 1

Feb 9

This week we will spend reviewing Module 1 and practicing equations and inequalities since that was the newest skill. We will also integrate forums in Edu 2.0 so you can request resources:)

7. Module 2: Descriptive Statistics

Feb 16

8. Unit 2: Desctriptive Statistics (week two)

Feb 23

9. Reviewing M1 and M2

Mar 2

This week you are presenting your statistics project and then review all previously learned material.

10. Unit 3: Linear and Exponential Functions

Mar 16

Get ready to extend your knowledge of functions to include function notation and the concepts of domain and range. You will explore many examples of functions and their graphs, focusing on the contrast between linear and exponential functions. You will interpret functions given graphically, numerically, symbolically, and verbally; translate between representations; and understand the limitations of various representations.

11. Unit 3: Linear and Exponential Functions (week two)

Mar 23

12. Unit 4: Quadratic Expressions, Equations, Functions, and Their Rectangles

Apr 13

13. EOC Test Prep Week 1

Apr 27

14. EOC Test Prep Week 2

May 4

15. EOC Test Prep Week 3

May 11
